Date and starting times
The Soulful Living Real Estate 8km Roo Run, Anglesea Discovery Camp 4km Roo Run, Anglesea Medical Centre Grommet Gallop and Janet Jones Starfish Nippers run will take place on Friday, 27th December 2025 Starting times for each event are as follows: Anglesea Medical Centre Grommet Gallop and Janet Jones Classic: Starts at 5:15pm. Anglesea Medical Centre Grommet Gallop and Janet Jones Starfish Nippers Run
The Grommet Gallop is designed as a non-competitive event to encourage children to just enjoy running or walking in a beautiful environment with their friends and family. Everyone who completes the course will be given a Roo Run competitors medal and a free sausage! from the BBQ.
Soulful Living Real Estate 8km Roo Run and Anglesea Community Bank 4km Roo Run
Medallions will be awarded to the first place getters in each age division with trophies and prizes being awarded to the fastest male and female runner in both the 4km and 8km events.
All Runners in the 8km and 4km events will receive a Roo Run medallion and gym towel.
*Under 12's who enter the 4km or 8km Roo Run will also receive a free sausage same as the grommets.
Timing
Start time will commence with a single gun start and finish time will be recorded when participants pass over the timing mats at the finish line. The timing chip will be embedded in the race bib and will not have to be returned. Times will be made available straight after the run and will be posted on the race website at the completion of the event.
Cost of entry
Pre-registration is encouraged for all events.
There is a limited number of entries available for the Roo Run so we encourage competitors to pre-register so that you don't miss out. In order to secure your position at the starting line, please register in advance here. All entries must be completed online. Prices for the various events are as follows:

Entry $65
Anglesea Discovery Camp Roo Run 4km
Entry $55
Family entry (2 adults and 2 children)
All family entries will receive a 25% discount on race entries; families must consist of 2Adults(A) + 2Children(C) to be eligible for the discount.
A couple of examples of families are below;
eg 1) 2 x Adult 4km = $100 + 2 x Grommet Gallop = $44; Total = $144.00 - 25% = $108 - YOU SAVE $36.00
eg 2) 2 x Adult 8km = $120 + 2 x Child 4km = $100; Total = $220.00 - 25% = $165.00 - YOU SAVE $55.00
So as long as you have a family you will get the discount! Great value all round!
Anglesea Medical Centre (Children's event)
This year entries to the Grommet Gallop will be $25, both online prior to the event and on the day. Cost of entry includes a Roo Run medallion and sausage.
On the day registrations will open from 3.30pm at the Yacht Club.
Pre-registered entrants will need to pick up their race bib and t-shirt on the day of the event.
All individual and family entries must be completed online.
Registration
Participants will be able to register for the event at the marquees located at the Anglesea Motor Yacht Club, Melba Parade, Point Road knight from 3.30pm on the day of the event.
Participants who have pre registered can collect their race bib from the 3:30pm.
